kundalini yoga open class

tuesdays 6 to 7.15pm at the beacon hub

Tuesday evenings at Beacon Hub is a Kundalini Yoga class open to all people, of all levels of experience.

This class is a great place to meet the practice and learn all the basic techniques, as well as for those already experienced to come and be guided in a group setting. The group energy increases the benefits!

Each class follows the same pattern: tuning in with mantra, possible warm-up or pranayama (breathing exercise), a Kriya (yoga set), deep relaxation, meditation and closing mantras.

At the same time, each class is different: a different Kriya and meditation with a different theme. Some Kriyas are more physically vigorous, some more subtle and

meditative. Modifications are offered so that each posture is achievable for everyone. There are Kriyas focussed on individual organs and body systems, on detoxing and revitalising, on nervous system and glandular balance, on harmony of the tattvas (elements) and the chakras, for intuition, for clarity, for hearing the inner voice, for strengthening the aura, awakening the arcline etc etc..

The overall effect, especially with ongoing practice but even after a single session, is commonly things like a feeling of release, of clarity and groundedness, of a still mind, a deeper breath, a sense of connection to Self and with one’s life purpose.
