This post is delicate to write. I am often strung halfway between feeling that I must share these experiences and perceptions and feeling like these are things I can’t say. That they are not mine to say. Maybe it should also come with a heavy themes trigger warning.

The teachings say that every soul has the chance in their lifetime to meet their teacher - the one who can serve as a wake up and reminder to who they really are. It’s set up that way. Not always, but oftentimes, this happens in the 5th 7 year cycle of life, between 28 and 35.

This is something I wrote in 2020, not long after allegations arose against Yogi Bhajan, as part of my way of processing what was happening. May it be of service to others.

As parents, inside our chests arises a deep deep desire to do the utmost best by our children…. We want so much to do well… and yet also it is sometimes in our apparent failures that we succeed the most … It is humbling, to say the least.
