It is said in Kundalini Yoga teachings that the soul is attached to being a woman. Woman is said to be a high incarnation and women are recognised in various traditions as being naturally closer to the meditative and awakened state. We are clearly full of potential and lacking for nothing. We need no advice, as we naturally actually already fully know .. and yet we can admit, we all need reminding, help, training, some kind of discipline for all this.

Enter Kundalini Yoga. This tradition is rich in timeless teachings for modern women - vital and potentially life-changing information that is difficult to find anywhere else. Importantly, it also provides an abundance of practices that turn the theory into a lived reality, helping us reliably find our way back or forward to our true inner bounty and beauty.

In the Body of a Woman is a vital curriculum of intensive courses for women of all ages. It is a selection of the most crucial teachings and powerfully transformative practices along with guidance and invitations to self-reflection and integration into daily life.

wisdom of instinct

the know-how of the no

8th to 29th september

Inside of us is an innate sense of a healthy no. We are born with it. Yet, mostly, it is conditioned out of us to some extent. We end up as adults with a hazy sense of our no, and this doesn’t help us to know our yes. It is vital (and so revitalising) to recover this healthy instinct and it can be done!

In this course you will be invited to explore the know how of the no in yourself, the wisdom of your instincts. This process of recovery involves practising a deeper listening to yourself and, very likely, a cleaning out of some confusion along the way. Only when your no is clear can your yes be self-affirming in the very best, even wonderful, way.

monday evenings 6.30 to 8.30pm - beaconsfield

    • tracking your own relationship to your no

    • discrimination is wisdom: understanding the basic difference between instinct and intuition and how they can ideally cooperate

    • eliminate to illuminate – there is no “how”; the No is the how

    • addressing front on the obstacles to saying no – people pleasing as a learned behaviour

    • time to say no: how to do it in a liberating not condemning way.

    • practising the art of no. The truth will set you free

    • the self-affirming no: a complete no turns into a self-affirmation

yogic self-care

for women

20th October to 10th November

monday evenings 6.30 to 8.30pm - beaconsfield

Habits make the man, they say .. and the woman!

This course shares the knowledge of yogic self-care for women. Kundalini Yoga, with its closeness to Ayurveda (ancient Indian wisdom of long life), offers practical daily lifestyle tips that bring harmony to your being - cellular, hormonal and spiritual. To consciously care for your physical body might seem like a superficial thing to some, but, especially if you haven’t been in the habit of it, the transformational effects on all levels of your being can be surprisingly powerful. It’s an expression of care and connection with yourself - a powerful act of self-acceptance and kindness that can bring great healing.

    • as nature made you – exploring and healing your relationship to your body as it is

    • the skin breathes – use of oils and self-massage

    • hair as an extension of the nervous system

    • morning and evening rituals and practices

    • washing and cleansing your body, inside and out; washing and cleansing your mind

    • nourishment and Ayurveda – listening to and trusting your body’s knowing

    • yogic approaches to clothing – dress your spirit, dress to please your innermost self

    • you’ll be invited to try some of the these practices over the 4 weeks of the course, to find out their effect on you

living in the flow of intuition

24th November to 15th december

monday evenings 6.30 to 8.30pm - beaconsfield

We are so much more intelligent than often we recognise let alone live by. We have mostly been trained to live by intellect, not intuition, and so we get ourselves into a lot of trouble that could otherwise be avoided!

The great news is, we can at any time discover/rediscover/more fully commit to our intuition, which can be defined as an extra-sensory ability to know what the rational mind can’t know. It’s also called the 6th sense and in women this is amplified. But did you know that your sense of touch, which we could call the 4th sense, is also connected to intuition? This is what we call the Truth Barometer - a felt sense of truth and rightness inside of you that lets you know the answer to every question.

Once you start living like this and trusting it you’ll never want to go back to the old limited ways! And again, this is an innate ability that we were born with, but we need some training to remember and cultivate it. A must for every woman who wants to be truly happy and in her own flow.

    • discriminating wisdom: knowing the two types of intuition you are graced with – personal (heart) and universal (third eye, arcline)

    • getting to know the Truth Barometer in the heart

    • cultivating your relationship with it,, practising navigating by your inner compass

    • facing the obstacles to trusting your truth - doubt and hesitation

    • awakening to your capacity to see the unseen and know the unknown

    • the 2 arclines of a woman

    • the role of faith and the place of fear

    • the beauty of living in the 5th dimension - the future facing present
